It was December 30th, 2024. A beautiful 55-degree Sunday in the metropolitan area of NJ/NY. The DiNome family had never taken a boat ride across the Hudson River from the New Jersey side and thought it would be a blast for Vincent and Dylan. They drove down to central NJ, parked the van, and headed to the port. Manhattan that day looked amazing. The family walked on board and found a place to sit outside under the winter sun. What Crystal, Vincent, and Dylan didn’t realize at first was that Vinny was almost frozen in time and weeping. He couldn’t hold back the tears rolling down his face. From the moment he stepped onto the ship, he was overwhelmed by the presence of God—as if he had just been in a revival service and the power of God was resting on him.
Vinny thought to himself, it must be the atmosphere, maybe it was the familiar place, having grown up only about 20 miles from where they sailed that day. So the family headed into the BIG City. They went uptown, downtown, took pictures in front of the tree at Rockefeller Center, did a little shopping, and made their way to Chinatown and Little Italy where they ate at their favorite spot. Vinny didn’t think much about the experience on the boat just a few hours ago. But later, as they walked under the Brooklyn Bridge about 9:00 PM on their way to the port to catch the ferry back up the Hudson River, he began to feel that same overwhelming presence. It was then he realized this wasn’t just emotionalism or love for the day and his family. It was something much deeper. He thought to himself: Could this be what Jesus felt when He looked over Jerusalem and wept?

This is more than a plan—it is a response to His voice and a step of faith into one of the most strategic regions in America. The mission of Angler Church is rooted in the Apostolic call to proclaim the Acts 2:38 message: repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. North Central Jersey, part of the greater New York City metropolitan area, is a hub of culture, commerce, and diversity. With the Hudson River as its border, North Central Jersey is a place where the world converges—a crossroads of nations, languages, and lives in need of the hope of Jesus Christ.
The purpose of Angler Church is to meet that need: to reach souls with the Gospel, to call men and women to repentance, to baptize in the saving name of Jesus, and to see lives filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. In a region of influence and opportunity, God has opened a door for His Apostolic truth to shine as a light to families, communities, and future generations.

After that anchor moment on the Hudson River, Vinny returned home with a heart still stirred by the burden God had renewed within him. He began to pray earnestly for direction. “Lord,” he prayed, “if this is what You want us to do, help me find a name for the church You will build—something rooted deeply in Your Word. Show me a story, an illustration, or an event that would leap from Scripture and carry Your heartbeat.”

In prayer and reflection, Vinny was drawn to the shoreline of Galilee, where Jesus walked and called fishermen to leave their nets and follow Him. Those ordinary men became the very first leaders of His Church. Jesus chose fishermen not by accident, but as a living parable for what His Church would be: a people called to reach the lost, draw them in, and bring them into the safety of His kingdom.

Vinny considered how, in the modern day, fishing looks different than in Bible times. Nets are not the primary tools—rods and hooks are often used to bring fish in, one by one. From that thought was born the name Angler. An angler uses a hook not to harm, but to catch and draw in. For Vinny, the name became a spiritual metaphor: Angler Church would be a place that draws people into the presence of God, not by force, but by showing love, compassion, and the power of the Spirit.
The vision of Angler Church is to “fish for men” just as Jesus commanded His disciples, but to do so in a way that reflects His heart. With patience, care, and the steady hand of a true fisherman, the Church will cast out the line of the Gospel, trusting the Spirit of the Lord to draw souls in and transform lives.

We believe God has called us to plant Angler Church in Bergen County, New Jersey, with a launch date of Palm Sunday 2026. This is not simply a decision—it is a response to the call of God to bring the full Apostolic message of salvation into one of the most strategic regions in America.

$5,000 → Covers one month of venue rental and outreach materials for an interest gathering.

$15,000 → Provides for 3 months of AV, promotion, and subscription costs leading up to launch.
$30,000 → Fully funds launch campaigns (mailers, digital ads, equipment needs). As well as one months rent and utilities for pastoral family.

Why A Seed Investment Matters

Should you choose to partner in this way, your support will help make it possible for Angler Church to get as close as they can to reach the goal of becoming fully self-sustaining by September 2027. 

This investment provides stability for the pastoring family.  All additional fundraising and giving goes directly into church operations, outreach, and growth.
Milestones—Launch, Easter, Pentecost, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027 will be measured by the expectation of consistent, faithful giving: 1–5 families →
5–10 families → 10–15 families → 15–20 families.


Self-Sustainability Projection

Self-Sustainability Projection — We are believing and praying that Angler Church will become fully self-sustaining as God continues to add faithful families in the near future. With His favor and the support of partners like you, this vision is well within reach. In most church planting models, reaching this level of stability can take 1–5 years. Our plan is bold and ambitious, but we serve a BIG God who delights in answering BIG prayers.

Prophetic Giving Model
$16,700 per month represents a modest estimate for sustaining Angler Church and supporting its pastoral family. Based on an average tithe/offering of about $250 per family, 20 committed families would cover approximately 30% of this need. We trust the Lord will provide the remaining portion through His miraculous provision and through the generosity of Kingdom-minded investors like you.

Angler Church and the pastoring family can never repay the return on your sacrificial giving in earthly terms, because in God’s Kingdom the true ROI is not financial but eternal—every soul that repents, every life that is transformed, every family that finds hope in Jesus Christ—that is the true ROI of your investment.

In God’s economy, we give—and in return souls are won, lives are transformed, and families are restored through the power of Jesus Christ.
